Project Description

This is the final report for a senior design project that uses acoustic to map the locations of the walls of a room. This project is important because it uses independent component analysis (ICA), specifically one type of ICA called blind source separation (BSS) to perform tasks for which ICA was not necessarily design. To the extent of my knowledge and a literature search, ICA has never before been used for an application like this. The product of this project is a mobile testing apparatus that can be used to easily set up experiments in various locations. The results of this project are successful and showcase the alternative capabilities of ICA and BSS
