Project Description

This senior project was sponsored by and done for Dynapac Rotating Company. The purpose of the project was to provide Dynapac tools for remote diagnosis of equipment failures. Dynapac’s equipment is delivered to customers all over the world. The design of the solution included a raspberry pi, relay, USB webcams, and an ADC. These parts were used to meet Dynapac’s desire for three diagnostic tools: video feed, a report of an analogue value from an encoder, and the ability to remotely send commands. After putting the system together and testing the design, everything the customer asked for was accomplished. This design was a good proof of concept and some steps for the path forward are laid out at the end of the document.
