A Computer and Electrical Engineering Senior Project

The research team at USU currently owns a Ford Focus which is able to drive itself around the test track at USU. The control system effectively governs the acceleration, braking, and steering of the vehicle. It can follow a pre-programmed path by use of a centimeter-accurate GPS-based system.The next steps of the project include the implementation of the stereo camera. The implementation of computer vision is necessary to create a viable, intelligent, and safe solution for autonomous travel.
