Project Description

There exists a high level of frustration in not knowing what you have in your pantry when you’re at the store. The purpose of this investigation is to provide an easy solution to automatically tracking pantry items in an easily accessible catalog. Giving a user access to the contents of their pantry without the need to physically be there eliminates the stress of trying to shop without that information. A large number of families have financial-budgets, experience high levels of stress, or simply don’t have the time to travel to-and-from home.
This solution serves as a way to save time, money, and sanity. Imagine that you’re at the store and you know that you need rice for a new recipe. You call home to ask if you have rice, but nobody answers. Now you must decide whether or not to drive home and check, or take a risk and guess whether or not you have enough rice. Why take that risk when you can have a detailed catalog of your pantry available to you right at your fingertips.
