Project Description

Parents are well acquainted with feelings of concern and protection, especially for small
children. Many parents express the concern that vehicles can heat so rapidly, creating dangerous environments for children. The reality of this concern has motivated the development of a safety alert system designed to provide parents with continual temperature surveillance while their infants are within a car. The proposed system would send a reliable and remote alert to parents in the event that the temperature near their child leaves a safe range. Electrical Engineering students from Utah State University have combined with Photorithm, an innovative electrical engineering company, to provide a simple solution at a price affordable to new and seasoned parents. The safety alert system will enable parents to be more aware of their children’s comfort and better
able to ensure their protection.
