Software-Defined Radio Direction of Arrival Analysis
An Electrical Engineering Senior Project
Traditional methods for building radios requires a lot of hardware, with a different setup for each purpose. Using software and mathematics, we can create systems that have been traditionally built as hardwired circuits, and change or adapt them easily as needed. One challenge we face with radio waves is determining where signals originate from. With this software radio approach, I plan to design a system that uses multiple antennas to determine where a radio signal came from with a method known as beamforming.
