- Fostering skills in planning, leading, and networking
- Providing opportunities to do technical projects outside of schoolwork
- Hosting hands-on learning workshops, professional conferrences, and "tech talks" from professionals in the industry.
What is IEEE?
IEEE (I-Triple-E) stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. IEEE is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE’s highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.
What is The USU IEEE Student Branch?
The USU IEEE Student Branch is the official club of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at USU. Tracing back to the 1940s, this club has been offering its members the opportunity to prepare for their future careers, to network with IEEE Professionals, and to have fun while attending USU. USU IEEE has fostered many long standing traditions enjoyed by the entire college and surrounding area, including, the end of year steak fry and the Student Professional Awareness Conference (S-PAC).
